The longer an individual life, and the smaller a group, the possibility of inbreeding is increased. Sorry if that all sounds harsh, but I bought this as a summer vacation read and really wanted to like it – to get lost in those pages. A highly entertaining read. The sole survivor of the mission, Taylor is haunted by what he’s sure he saw but still can’t prove exists-Carcharodon megalodon, the massive mother of the great white shark.

Most of the staff are killed when the predators make their way into the lab. But despite a few flaws, Fragment is a rip-roaring tale with an interesting premise at its heart. I’ll admit, I was actually surprised to find Vahy alive. Add all three to Cart Add all frsgment to List. It starts out in an older time period like many modern cryptozoological tech-thriller adven Now, THIS was a great book.

Please put the book on the shelves. Overall, I was very happy to have had the opportunity to receive a waren of this novel, and hope that those of you who love a little sci-fi, super-hybrid, chew-em-up-and-spit-em-out campy monster stories will check this one out!!


Give it a read if you want some autumn monster-killing reading. Aboard the ship, Nell and Geoffrey begin to bond romantically as the Hendropods settle into their surroundings, even sleeping together.

He’s also got an excruciatingly sweet golden-haired daughter named Sasha who’s pretty much center stage for most of the story. Nell, Zero and Dr. Both on pages and in cinemas. They’ll tell you the three criteria for any cool uncharted island: Another win for the Big Dumb Fun category!

I liked all the descriptions but there was to much theory and scientific description. Not once does he even stop to consider if he is doing the wrong thing. Where do I start?

It is here the author lectures, and as a reader, if you are more interested in the “thriller” and less in the “science,” it is here you will find yourself getting frustrated with the pace of the story.

The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers – men and women who risk their lives by diving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

So after reading this book it just renewed my interest to read the prior novel. Perhaps the author felt there needed to be a little levity, in light of the impending doom of the rest of the novel.

Amidst all this excitement, Geoffrey and Nell, the same ethical and curious characters from Fahu, explore the depths of Pandemonium.

Honestly, I was thinking the same thing throughout the book. Fearing that Henders Island might framgent weaponized, the fayy blockades the island and calls on an elite science team to explore it.

And all that stands in the way of the coming apocalypse is a starry-eyed inventor who dreams of building a revolutionary new spacecraft and an intelligence agency desk jockey faced with the impossible choice of saving her daughter – or saving the world.


I knew when I picked this up it wouldn’t the next “Great American Novel” with engaging characters and prose that could make you weep. As a side note, there are a lot of bug-like and spider-like creatures in this story. Dan Simmons Narrated by: There are no discussion topics on this book yet. It’s about one step up from a SYFY Channel movie, but is still entertaining if you’re in the right mood.

Hopefully, there will be more stories in the future as I want to see more on the interactions of humans and hendros in the real world when the hendros are free. The main vegetation of Henders Island are not plants but rather warern who resemble plants and can both photosynthesise and kill and eat other creatures. Warren Fahy has created a masterpiece of creativity, intelligent scientific theory, sociological debate, and horror. A must for “Science” Science-Fiction lovers Great story, from beginning to end.

Building on Fragment author Warren Fahy takes readers deep underground into a biological hell in Pandemonium. I couldn’t put this book down and I believe that you won’t be able to either. Warren Fahy attempts to combine a science-fiction thriller with social commentary on the abundance of reality television and popular scientist sound clips—in other words, the shallow, consumer-driven ffahy of our culture.

The odds that such an explored island would exist, let alone one with such drastically different life forms, is extremely small in real life. And, it’s inhabitants are insatiably Hungry for Flesh and Blood.
